Workshop Overview

Videos gaming is the largest entertainment industry globally, with billions of people of all ages playing every minute of every day. The evolution of online gaming and MMO (Mass Multiplayer Online) gaming such as FIFA, COD, Fortnight, Roblox and Minecraft all offer their own communication networks, many of which are used by both children, vulnerable people and those who seek to use the platforms for exploitation.

This workshop gives III practitioners an insight into the social side of video gaming and the investigation and intelligence opportunities that exist within.  

This workshop will include both theory and practical sessions.

Intended Audience

This workshop is intended for III practitioners who have little or no experience of online gaming and how it is utilised.

Course Location: Vestigo HQ, Liverpool City Centre / Online

Workshop Objective

The objective of the III Gaming Network Investigation Workshop is to provide delegates with detailed knowledge of the various popular gaming networks and how to navigate them for investigative purposes. Upon completing this course, delegates will be confident to conduct enquiries within gaming and associated online content identifying lines of enquiry and resolving attribution.
